Giardina Earns D2CCA All-America Honors

RUSSELLVILLE, AR - Florida Southern College women's basketball standout Camille Giardina has been named as an honorable-mention all-America selection by the Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA), it was announced on Monday. Giardina is the only student-athlete from the Sunshine State Conference to earn D2CCA all-America honors this season.

Giardina, who was previously named as the D2CCA South Region Player of the Year, also earned SSC Player of the Year honors and was the SSC Tournament MVP after guiding the Mocs to their 12th SSC Tournament and 14th SSC Regular-Season titles this season. She averaged 19.8 points per game, the top mark in the SSC, and shot 48.3 percent from the floor as a senior.

Her 654 total points this year were the second-most in a single season in school history, and she ended her career with 1,939 points, fourth-most in program history.

Commissioners Association (D2CCA). The teams are voted on by the members of D2SIDA, NCAA Division II Sports Information Directors Association.

The Division II Conference Commissioners Association encourages and promotes Division II athletics and high standards of sportsmanship as important elements
of higher education. The CCA is a key communications link among the conferences as they discuss views, policies, and regulations that impact Division II
intercollegiate athletics and works closely with the NCAA as a communications channel to NCAA Division II member colleges and universities.
